3rd to 6th Class went on a wonderful Waterford tour on 24th October 2018. We visited Waterford Crystal and saw, close up, the manufacturing process from start to finish. The blowers had lumps of molten glass which they blew into shape with the help of wooden moulds. The items were then prepared for the cutters and engravers. Quality control rejects any pieces not deemed to be perfect. You'll never find a "seconds" shop in Waterford Crystal!
We also went to Reginald's Tower and heard about its almost 1000 year history. It's well worth a trip back to Waterford for another look.
We saw lots of other fascinating things on our walk around. Here are some of them.
