Great progress in the garden lately...
Most of the fence has been taken down as the beech hedging is strong enough now to provide a good strong perimeter boundary. New gravel has been laid down on the paths and bulbs have been planted for spring colour. Photos soon! Three weeks into our new school year and work has begun on the raised beds. A thorough clearout was undertaken by pupils from 5th and 6th class, especially Keith and Eimear.
The beds were cleared of weeds and anything not harvested before the summer was gathered. Potatoes, onions and carrots were ready to be harvested. We will have to do some pruning and tidying over the next while. |
