The Infants got involved in the Global Citizenship theme with their display about Kumba, a girl from Sierra Leone.
The Green Flag team report on developments at every Monday morning assembly. They give updates about energy and water usage and remind the children about our waste sorting bins.
RECYCLED MATERIAL HAT COMPETITION
Rang 5 and 6 had a hat making competition using only recycled materials. The pupils gathered and designed and then created their masterpieces. Rang 3 and 4 were invited to be the models for the final show and they then voted for their favourites. Ally, Deirdre and Keith were the favourites when all the scores were totted up. Is there a new Philip Treacy among us?
We have cyclists in our school! Two of our brave senior class are cycling to school on fine days. Hi-viz jackets and sturdy helmets are a must for good visibility and safety on our busy country roads!
We found a nest in the field after it had been blown out of a tree by the recent storm. We were very surprised to find strands of plastic had been used by the birds in their nest construction, another example of plastics in our environment.
