Ladies Football News Our successful lady footballers were presented with their county medals. A big thank you to John Paul Lucey, captain of the Shamrocks Junior footballers, who did the honours on the day.

A super victory for our girls in the Roinn C Cumann na mBunscol
The girls came through a titanic struggle to win on a score line of 1-8 to 2-2. A very determined Clashmore team pushed us to the limit, but in the end the girls prevailed and secured a well deserved victory.They showed tremendous spirit and resolve to clinch the victory. They have been a super bunch in terms of their application to training and never say die spirit which has seen them win all their games their games on the way to claiming this crown. Well done girls we are very proud of you.
GAA NEWS (Wednesday 2nd 2019) Well done to both teams who played in the blitz in Clashmore. Both the boys and girls teams battled hard on the day and the girls team have qualified for the semi-final which will possibly take place next week. Maith sibh!
Friday was great day of fun and activity for European School's Day!
There will be a school Mass on Tuesday 19th February and shenanigans in the Hall following on immediately afterwards to mark the retirement of Mr. Kavanagh.
School reopened after the Christmas holidays on Monday January 7th. Everyone was delighted to be back!

Tuesday 19th of February: Following mass in Knockanore church there was a reception held to pay tribute to Mr Kavanagh and his years of dedication to our school on the occasion of his retirement. The reception, held in the KGK community hall, included a special performance by the children of Knockanore. This performance was an expression of their gratitude to this wonderful teacher.
