We had a wonderful Carol Service and Nativity Play on Wednesday December 19th. There was singing, playing, dancing and acting of the highest quality. The theme of the carol service was connected to our Green Flag Award - Global Citizenship - Litter and Waste. With this in mind, the Nativity was called "Children of the World" where various angels went around the world and brought children from different countries to explain the traditions in their lands while the Nativity scene was being acted out. The senior classes sang carols from all over the world, four of them in other languages; French, Polish, Italian and Zulu. They also sang a great counting carol from Newfoundland, "Come and I Will Sing You." We sang the traditional Good King Wenceslas which carries a very strong message of looking after those less fortunate than ourselves, and our finale was the popular "Harvest for the World", the epitome of Global Citizenship messages. Below are some photos taken at the rehearsal in the church on Wednesday morning.
